RW X RR

The notion of having your real life taped always seemed cool. The elaborate housing, “diverse” casting, and plotted-out flashpoints provided a new type of escapism. The hyperreal or meta-real “l” or hyphen real or whatever. I frequently imagined breaking out my window and finding my way to the Real World House as the little brother wildcard ready to tag along. Much better than the yelling and pinging between banisters and the chicken bones piling up to the ceiling. A fun house plopped inside a glowing cube where I could teleport and reflect all of my wacky visions. I was dancing with the characters; riding on a boat when Stephen slapped Irene, listening in the hallway when Ayanna and Pia screamed their lungs out, etc. etc. etc. These over-the-top extensions of reality and our arguments about them could be seen as progenitors of the think piece, at least of the same lineage.
